Breeders Association of Bangladesh (BAB) was established in 2004. The association is endorsed by the Ministry of Commerce, and registered with the Joint stock company as a not-for-profit business association, under section 28 of the companies Act 1994. Any Breeding Farm can be a member of this association fulfilling mandatory clauses.
The BAB is a member of the 'Federation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry' (FBCCI).
The main Objects of BAB are:
âTo foster the responsible and safe production of quality Parent Stock and Day-Old-Chicks (DOC)
âTo promote and protect the general trading interests of poultry and breeding trade in Bangladesh.
âTo establish just and equitable principles in the poultry Breeding Management in Bangladesh
âTo enlighten and help the farmers and others in the safe and economic husbandry & management of Commercial Chicks as well as the healthy poultry birds specially the chickens;
âTo collect and circulate statistics and other information relating to the Breeding management and trade and Breeder Farms & Hatcheries;
âTo form a code of conduct of practices to simplify and facilitate transaction of deal in Parent Stock & Poultry Breeding Management
âTo enter into and assist in schemes for the poultry Breeding Farming
âTo promote or oppose legislative and other matters affecting the trade
